GLP-1 Therapy

GLP-1 therapy with a provider you actually see. Evaluated in person, dosed in person, adjusted in person.

What Is GLP-1 Therapy?

Care, Not a Subscription

GLP-1 therapy uses a class of medication that mimics a hormone your body already produces, one that regulates appetite, digestion, and blood sugar. When that signal is amplified, your stomach empties more slowly and hunger quiets down, so smaller portions start to feel like enough. For most people, appetite was never a willpower problem. It was a signaling problem.

Treatment is a once-weekly injection, starting low and increasing gradually. That pacing is deliberate, and it’s the biggest factor in whether the experience is manageable. At Pendeza, your injections are given in the office by a provider, so someone is assessing how you’re actually responding each week and adjusting from there.

"The medication is the easy part. The part that matters is having someone watching how you respond to it."

Your path

How the Program Works

  1. Consultation: A full conversation about your health history, previous attempts, current medications, and what you’re hoping to change. We’ll tell you honestly whether GLP-1 therapy is a fit.
  2. Clearance & Consent If you’re a candidate, you’ll review the treatment plan and complete your consent paperwork before anything is prescribed. You’ll know exactly what you’re taking and why.
  3. In-Office Visits Your injections are administered in the office by your provider. This is where the program differs from a mail-order model — someone is looking at you, asking how the week went, and catching problems while they’re small.
  4. Ongoing Adjustment Your response is reviewed at regular intervals and your plan adjusted accordingly. Progress is measured in how you feel, how you’re eating, and how your body is responding — not by a single number.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from an online weight loss service?

Online programs are built on questionnaires and shipping. Yours is built on visits. Your provider evaluates you in person before prescribing, administers your injections in the office, and adjusts your plan based on what they observe, not on what you self-report into a form. If something isn’t going well, they’ll know before you do.

No. Treatment begins at a starting dose and is increased gradually only as your body tolerates it. Moving too quickly is the most common reason people have a difficult experience with these medications, and it’s the main thing regular in-office visits are designed to prevent.

The most common are gastrointestinal: nausea, reduced appetite, constipation, or changes in digestion. They are typically most noticeable in the first weeks after starting or after a dose increase. Most ease over time. Your provider will review the full side effect profile with you before you begin and give you specific guidance on managing them.

That’s a conversation, not a fixed term. Some people stay on therapy long-term; others taper once they’ve reached a stable point. Your provider will discuss what continuing, pausing, or stopping looks like at your progress reviews.

Pendeza is a self-pay practice. Program and visit pricing will be reviewed in full during your consultation so there are no surprises.
